Last Week of Roehampton Football Academy Head Coach Needed

This is head coach Denis Booth. Next week is the last week of service at Roehampton Football Academy. We are looking for a new Head Coach to take over. It’s perfect opportunity for managers with a license to coach football because all the equipment, storage space and over ten players awaiting training.

Last week we trained on Barnes common because of Sports Day. The pitch was fully booked in advance for these events which lasted a few days that clashed with days we trained. It worked out well, we still trained and played football.

The only downside snag training on Barnes Common is due to sunny weather the grass is dryer than Roehampton Football Field, we had to carry equipment a bit further than usual. And no changing rooms for shower afterwards.

The next Roehampton Football Manager will have to be keen. The great thing is all the bibs, halls and cones are available to use. Hence this perhaps final advertisement. My number is on the website take action as soon as possible. I need to speak to you to find out whether you are a good fit.

In 22 years of coaching I have learned a lot and will be available for consultation if the next Head Coach needs any guidance. Due to age and recent bad health I regret to say I will be standing down next week.

We have a strong following of successful attend dees who many as documented here have gone on to better things.

Roehampton Football Academy has these past ten years built a good reputation for helping 16 – 25 yrs old players to get back into professional football teams. There is a window of opportunity for you to get involved. If you want to run your ready made Academy with all the bells and whistles get in touch immediately please. We have all the kit, the space, all we needs is a reliable Head Coach to take over and continue the good work.

Roehampton FC Pre Season July – Oct 2016

Roehampton football academy are just doing a pre season this year.

Decent players who have good technical abilities 16 – 18 can get them two years football and education.

So best of luck. Come along and be prepared for great football sessions.

Roehampton Football Academy Still Alive And Kicking ‘No Retreat No Surrender’

This week six men turned up and we played Cobham FC. The players did well. At the backend of the season we decided to have a friendly game with Chelmsford on Saturday National Combine National south team because we were going to have a showcase but it was cancelled. So it was very short notice we played Cobham FC combine county side.

So we owing to work commitments and unavailability could not raise a full team. I did not want to disappoint Barry Wilde the manager who made the game possible. We only had seven players but we made up with Cobham boys for 11 aside.

I will now mention some names. Our guys did well. Raphael who has just come aboard he played in Brazil for one or two sides Botofoga FC, we are looking to get him into a pro club but would consider National South semi pro. He is a looking for a club and expressed a desire to play in England.

Alan the striker played well and scored a good goal. Coffey played well and Eddie from Ireland Addie played well in midfield. I was quite pleased we went up there and we did not disappoint Barry Wilde.

Vlad has just signed on for Kingstonians as their keeper. So the season has been great all the boys have played good organised football. I just got one friend come over from LA Galaxy who has a very good CV is looking to play in the UK.

Again contact us or email for further. All in all it was a good game, a good run. It was quite competitive due to Roeahampton Football Academies availability. Any inquiries or serious applicants contact us here, Facebook or email. Head coach answers all calls and has good contacts here in the UK. If you are interested, no time wasters please. This Academy now has in the region of ten boys who have gone professional these past two or three seasons.

I wish Happy Christmas to all the clubs and all the players, staff and committee who have support over the years. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We hope to start back in February 2016.

Academy is closed until Feb 2016

The Academy is closed till February pending funding. November has been a productive month and we will talk about that as well. Basically all the boys who came to the Academy went on directly and indirectly to clubs via Head Coach. Coming up in the future we hoping to get a showcase with the under 21’s from Chelmsford City FC.

Next year what we hope to do and what we will definitely do

We got people from Germany, France and Africa. We have received lots of inquires about the Academy and what we are doing along with all the good positive feedback. So all being well next year be another successful season. We also got a lot of positive links with clubs and we thank them for their assistance and information. Next year we will be including females and people with disabilities also they will be coached separately and we are hoping to expand the staff.

Special thanks and credits to the people who supported us

This is a special thank you to all who came to the Academy in Roehampton FA to play football and take opportunity to get back into playing professionally. Special thanks to all the clubs who we played this year, let’s play next year. Thank you Sports England for support 2013 – 2014 and we are submitting applications for 2016 and our sponsors.

This Academy is a unique and we are charity based a lot of which comes from my own pocket. I really got say this has come from my heart. I have so much passion for this game. I have coached in the Amazon’s of Brazil, Stanterem and been privileged to go the Marciano in Rio the largest stadium in the world. Coaching on video San Francisco men’s football club back in 1993, 1996 and 1997 three times since.

Yours in love and sports Head Coach, Dennis Booth.

Successful season for Roehampton Academy and we will be back in February

It has been a successful season for Roehampton Academy and we will all goes well be back in February. Our goal has been to enroll new players and quickly fast track them back into the system. This year went rather well. All the players who turned up and played well went on to other clubs. The Roehampton Football Academy played a crucial role in the players getting noticed. Through showcase games and a quick assessment technique embedded in our unique training we have managed to get noticed and excel in our locality. London is a big place and a lot of players from all over the world want to come here and play football. If players have the funding to get to the UK and arrive on time to training they have all been impressed with the feedback as well as getting their professional football dream back on track again.

Special thanks to Roehampton Football Fields again for allowing us to hire the ground in 2015.

We have had some good sessions training and in the archives you can watch examples of how the training sessions went on. The weather this year has been great and even when the weather was wet or windy students still turned up to train which is important. Well done you know who you are. Some days were so though that we could not play and this was acknowledged via a credit system. The Roehampton Academy has been offering free sessions for the right candidates for over ten years now and our payments of rent are in good standing. This is the last week of training and if all goes to plan we will be back in February.

Congratulations it has been an honour to serve Wandsworth Borough in sports these past ten years.

Locally we have made an impact in the community, people know me, I know them and there is a profound element of respect for sports in our Borough. Roehampton is an area of London known for education. There are many youth clubs here, the libraries have good services and universities always bring new faces to the area. We are lucky to be situated in such amazing rural landscape even though we are in the big urban city. Close by in Barnes there is a bird sanctuary for example a train comes from Waterloo which is really quick. Easy access to the area from Victoria and Hammersmith; buses come to and fro these main areas which is perhaps why so many students have come through the doors of Roehampton Football Academy. Wandsworth is an amazing borough who are very supportive of sports ventures. Football is a great sport and helps men and women focus through growing up in a way which I think generates success. The proof though is in the pudding which I sure you agree I have delivered this year and all willing next year too.
